| Chandler 1/Chandler Bark Park Located at 4500 S. Alma School Road at Ocotillo; fenced, benches, handicap access,poopbags, parking, restrooms, lights, water, trash. Located at the Chandler Regional Sports Complex it offers training obstacles such as a see-saw, balance beam, tunnel, hurdles and a large A-frame. Future plans include a dog drinking fountain, additional lighting and a ramada. Open to the public except when Chandler Police K-9 units and dog obedience training classes are scheduled. 2/Shawnee Park 1400 W. Mesquite, cross streets Alma School north of Warner Hours: 6am to 10pm Fenced, benches, tables, handicap, poopbags, trees, parking, lights, water, trashcans Comments: 3 acres of grass and desert landscaping, lots of room for the dogs to run Fountain Hills Courtesy of Fountain Hills Parks & Recreation Dept and ADOG (Assoc of Dog Owners Group) Desert Vista Park Located at Saguaro Blvd and Desert Vista Drive; Hours: sunrise to sunset fenced, benches, handicap access, poopbags, trees, parking, water, trash. It has approximately 3.5 acres of turf and a 1/2 acre fenced just for little dogs; future lighting planned for night use. Please observe posted rules. Gilbert Crossroads Dog Park 2155 E. Knox Street, Greenfield Road, south of Warner Road Open 6am to 10pm fenced, benches, tables, handicap access, poopbags, parking, lights, water, trashcans. There's a separate fenced area for 'timid' dogs and a larger fenced area for 'active' dogs. No shade, so best time to go in the summer is early morning or evening;tables and 'rest area', information kiosk. Glendale 1/ Sahuaro Ranch Park (SW Corner) 63rd Avenue just north of Olives Avenue Open 6am to 10pm There is an enclosed off-leash area within this large regional park; developed by Glendale Park & Rec, the dogpark is almost an acre, with trees, benches and a dual people/dog water fountain. Please observe all park rules, posted at the entry -above all, clean up after your dog. 2/ Foothills Dog Park 19021 N. 57th Avenue, just north of Union Hills Drive Open sunrise to 10pm Fenced, benches, poopbags, trees, parking, lights, water, trashcans. Located behind Foothills branch library, next to the baseball field. Access is from North Glendale Library parking lot. Trails nearby, agaility toys for practice and play. Mesa Quail Run 4155 E. Virginia, cross streets Greenfield and Virginia Open sunrise to 10 pm fenced, benches, poopbags, trees, restrooms, lights, water, trashcans. Approximately 3 acres of grass, lots of new trees. Phoenix Unfortunately, Phoenix does not yet have any official dogparks. Scottsdale 1/Vista del Camino Park 7700 East Pierce St.; take Pierce Street heading west from Hayden Road Daily sunrise-10:30 p.m. Drinking fountains (one for people and one for pooches), benches, mutt mitt stations, lighted. The fenced-in area is all turf and just under an acre in size. Restroom facilities nearby. 2/ Horizon Park 15444 N. 100th St. (Thompson Peak Parkway and 100th Street, east of SR 101 off Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard) Daily sunrise-10:30 p.m. Fenced, benches, tables, disposal bags, parking, phones, restrooms, lighted, trash cans, bring your own water, little shade. 3/ Chaparral Park 5401 N. Hayden Road, dog park located at SE corner of McDonald Dr. and Hayden Rd. Daily sunrise – 9 p.m. 2.2 acres, fenced, small-and-large dog areas, shade, water, benches, restroom. Tempe 1/Mitchell Park Mitchell Drive and 9th Street Daily 6 a.m.-midnight Fenced, benches, disposal bags, trees, parking, lighted, water, trash cans. Access for the disabled. 2/Creamery Park 8th Street and Una Avenue (just south of University near Rural) Daily 6 a.m.-midnight 3/Papago Park Curry Road and College Avenue Daily 6 a.m.-midnight |
